ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve resolution authorizing execution of amendment to ILA with the City of Ellensburg related to
development standards with the Ellensburg UGA
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County and the City of Ellensburg entered into an Interlocal Agreement on December 20, 2021,
related to development standards within the Ellensburg Urban Growth Area. That agreement provided a
deadline of December 31, 2022, for the County to meet certain requirements. The County and City desire to
extend that implementation deadline (related to sections 5.1, 6.1, 10.2, and 13.1 of the agreement) until June
30, 2023. The County and City drafted an amendment to the agreement that would accomplish that
extension.
INTERACTION:
Deputy Prosecutor Caulkins has been working with the City attorney to draft the proposed amendment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution authorizing execution of amendment to ILA with the City of Ellensburg related to
development standards with the Ellensburg UGA
HANDLING:
Prosecutor's office will need a copy to send over to the City.
