CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES

Special Meeting
MONDAY 2:00 PM December 13, 2022
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman
Cory Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Dan Carlson and Jessica Miller Community Development
Services; Mark Cook and Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; and zero
(0) members of the public.
At 2:06 pm Chair Osiadacz opened the Community Development
Services Study Session.
CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 MIN. TIME LIMIT)
There were no citizen comments.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 2:07 pm Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess
into an Executive Session for 10 minutes, until 2:17 pm with
Dan Carlson, CDS Director, to evaluate the qualifications of
an applicant for public employment or to review the
performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW
42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries,
wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally
applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the
public, and when a governing body elects to take final action
hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class
of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that
action shall be taken in a meeting open to the public. No
action anticipated.

At 2:17 pm the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. CDS
was directed to hold a follow up Executive Session under the
same RCW letter G next Tuesday at the agenda session.
