BOARD OF COI.INTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COLTNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RES'LUTT.N No. 2022 ---,})J) <br />AUTHORIZING THE KITTITAS COUNTY COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTORTO <br />NEGOTIATE, ENTER INTO, AND APPROVE CONTRACTS WITH A VALUE OF LESS THAN <br />$30,000 <br />WHEREAS:The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to make such <br />contracts as may be necessary to their corporate or administrative powers, and to do all <br />necessary acts in relation to the property of the County pursuant to RCW 36.01.010; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners can delegate to its agents or <br />officers certain corporate or administrative powers, such as contracting authority, <br />pursuant to RCW 36.01.030; and <br />WHEREAS:The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has previously delegated to other <br />County departments and offices the specific authority to negotiate, enter into, and <br />approve contracts for expenditures, purchases, or other contractual obligations for <br />property, goods, or services; and <br />WHEREAS:The Kittitas County Community Services Director, in carrying out the duties for <br />Community Development Services, is requesting to execute contracts, administrative <br />agreements, or sub-agreements with relatively low risk and dollar value for planning <br />support services; and <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby authorize the Kittitas County Community Services Director to negotiate, enter <br />into, and approve contracts for expenditures, purchases, or other contractual obligations for property, <br />goods, or services with a monetary value of less than $30,000. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of Resolution200g-22, which requires all contracts <br />to be reviewed and approved as to form by the Prosecutor's Office before the contract is signed, and <br />which also directs the Auditor's Office to deny payment for any contract not reviewed and approved by <br />the Prosecutor's Office, shall remain in full effect. <br />DATED this 6th day of December 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />, WASHTNGTON <br />(.1 <br />Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />/tttrrrttt\\\Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright,Vice-Chairman <br />ffiurrClerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />hA,(
