AGENDA DATE: December 6, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to select TranTech
Engineering and HLA Engineering and Land Surveying for
Construction Management Professional Services Contracts
supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period
and Authorize the County Engineer to execute said
Contracts.
BACKGROUND: On September 6, 2022, Public Works received approval to
advertise a request for Statement of Qualifications to solicit
for professional services (consistent with state law and
County policy). Submittals were due October 14, 2022, for
Public Works staff review and scoring. After review of
responder information Public Works recommends the
selection of TranTech Engineering and HLA Engineering
and Land Surveying for standard professional contracts.
The contracts are in place for a two-year base period with a
third potential year if mutually agreed upon.
INTERACTION: Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to select TranTech Engineering and
HLA Engineering and Land Surveying for Construction
Management Professional Services Contracts supporting
Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period
and Authorize the County Engineer to execute said
Contracts.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022 -
SELECTING TRANTECH ENGINEERING AND HLA ENGINEERING AND LAND
SURVEYING AS PUBLIC WORKS ON-CALL TASK ORDER CONSULTANTS FOR UP
TO A THREE-YEAR PERIOD OF SERVICE AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY
ENGINEER SIGNATURE ON SAID CONTRACTS
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works (PW) prepared a solicitation for engineering and
professional services consistent with state law and county code in September 2022;
and
WHEREAS: PW docketed a request to solicit for engineering and professional services on the
Board of County Commission general business agenda on September 6, 2022; and
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners did direct PW proceed with solicitation efforts
and said process concluded with submittals being received on October 14, 2022; and
WHEREAS: Consistent with solicitation advertising an internal review team of PW reviewed and
scored all construction management submittals; and
WHEREAS: The consensus of the reviewers selects TranTech Engineering and HLA Engineering
and Land Surveying for professional services contracts for up to a three-year period
(two-year base with possible third year extension if mutually agreed upon);
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best
interest of the public, does hereby select TranTech Engineering and HLA Engineering and Land
Surveying for standard professional services contracts (acceptable to the Prosecuting Attorney's
Office);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the County Engineer is directed to sign said contracts on behalf of
the Board of County Commissioners.
