TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2023
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was advertised for Snow and Ice Control Products for 2023 on
October 6,2022, and October 13,2022; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on October 20,2022, at2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas
County Public Works and four ( ) bids were received; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of GMCO
Corporation for Item #l Conosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3
RoadSaver - Soil Stabilizer; and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for Item#2
Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride be accepted for Snow & Ice Control
Products for2023;and
NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest
of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2023 Snow & Ice Control Products to GMCO Corporation
for Item #l Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride and for Item #3 RoadSaver - Soi[ Stabilizer;
and the responsible bid of Pioneer Commodities for ltem #2 Non-Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium
Chloride upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); and
BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract
documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by saidbidder(s).
