Re: BOCC Support for Marine Law Enforcement Patrol Vessel Replacement
Grant Program
Dear Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission,
Please accept this letter as the commitment of the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners to the
proposed vessel replacement grant application. In view of the grant of state funds for Marine
Patrol Vessel replacement, 25% matching funding for a vessel valued at up to $95,000 is
authorized.
The proposed Marine Patrol Vessel will enhance the safety of users of recreational waters in
Kittitas County through rescues, enforcement, and improved marine Law Enforcement visibility.
Kittitas County appreciates this grant opportunity and looks forward in partnering with our State
and Federal agency partners to promote recreational boater safety.
