KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, November 1, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution awarding funding for Grants <br />pursuant to Law & Justice Council recommendations on spending of 1/101h of 1% Sales <br />Tax Reserves. <br />BACKGROUND: One of the Kittitas County Law & Justice functions is to make <br />recommendations for funding of grants to meet the objectives of the council, aimed at <br />reducing crime in our county or educating our citizens about law and justice concerns. <br />These expenditures shall be made from the 1/10th of I% sales tax reserve account <br />established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special projects to <br />foster cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice projects <br />within Kittitas County. <br />INTERACTION: This Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution awarding funding for <br />Grants pursuant to Law & Justice Council recommendations on spending of 1/10th of 1% <br />Sales Tax Reserves. <br />HANDLING: Return one signed original to the Sheriff's Office <br />LEAD STAFF: Command staff <br />
