10/17/2022 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 8:30 A.M. OCTOBER 17, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chair Cory <br />Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Stephanie George, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Priscilla Perez, Deputy Clerk; Dennis <br />Robinson, Deputy Clerk; Heather Ryan, Records Deputy; Jan McElroy, <br />Legal Process Assistant III; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Sarah Keith, <br />Superior Court Administrator; and Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM COUNTY CLERK COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 8:30 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz called a Special Meeting to order to <br />consider an appointment to serve as Interim County Clerk. <br /> <br />She announced Karen Bowen, County Clerk, submitted her resignation <br />from the position, effective at midnight October 17, 2022. She <br />explained how the Prosecutor’s office provided options for the <br />Board’s consideration including do nothing; appoint an Interim Clerk <br />while noting the employee must be a current Clerk’s office employee; <br />however, their preference was for the Board to appoint an Interim. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to appoint Stephanie George, <br />Administrative Supervisor, to serve as the Interim County Clerk, <br />effective October 18, 2022.
