COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY 1:00 P.M. OCTOBER 4, 2022
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory
Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Office Administrator; Patti Stacey, Solid
Waste Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Jeanne Killgore, HR
Director; Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor.
SPECIAL MEETING CLOSED BARGAINING COMMISSIONERS
At 1:01 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into
a Collective Bargaining - Closed Session with Patti Stacey, Solid
Waste Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Jeanne Killgore, HR
Director; Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor - Pursuant to RCW
42.30.140(4)(b), the OPMA does not apply to that portion of a
meeting during which the governing body is planning or adopting the
strategy or position to be taken by the governing body during the
course of any collective bargaining, professional negotiations, or
grievance or mediation proceedings, or reviewing the proposals made
in the negotiations or proceedings while in progress.
At 1:10 p.m. the Board reconvened out of a Closed Bargaining
Session. Direction to staff was to convey to Union Rep. Tom Cash an
offer of 14 months and no-rehire in the County.
OPEN SESSION
MOU LOCAL 792 ROAD UNION HUMAN RESOURCES
Commissioner Wright moved to approve and authorize Board signature
on a Memorandum of Understanding between Kittitas County and Local
792 (Road)to recognize and classify the Airport Operator/Mechanic
position effective 11/1/2022. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded.
Motion carried 3-0.
