SHERIFF'S STUDY SESSION - SPECIAL MINUTES

Board members present:
Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman Cory Wright, and Commissioners Brett Wachsmith.
Others: Sheriff Clay Myers, Inspector Chris Whitsett, Chris Horner; Deputy Prosecuting
Attorney and Dan Carlson; CDS Director.
Update on Vehicles for 2022 — Sheriff Myers mentioned that August 10, 2022, was when Ford
closed for ordering. Ordered two Chevy trucks and one got pulled and also looking at other
manufactures.
Update on Fire Marshal — Sheriff Myers advised we are still working on a job description,
salary and management responsibility and once that is completed, we will discuss further with
the Board. Indicated this would be a budget impact.
Executive Session — Entered into Execution Session at 11:23 a.m. - RCW 42.30.110(g)- To
evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public
employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140(4), discussion by a governing body of salaries, wages,
and other conditions of employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in a meeting
open to the public, and when a governing body elects to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an
individual employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall
be taken in a meeting open to the public.
At 11:39 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Execution Session. No action taken.
