Community Wildfire Protection Plan
Recent wildland fires, mitigation and planning efforts have impacted the landscape and
neighborhoods. Planning efforts led by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources have
changed the priorities outlined in the previous documents and are reflected in the amended Section
4 to better reflect the best available science products after the finalization of the CWPP in October
2018.
This plan is not legally binding, as it does not create or place mandates or requirements on individual
jurisdictions. It is intended to serve as a planning tool for fire and land managers and residents to
assess risks associated with wildland fire and identify strategies and make recommendations for
reducing those risks.
