KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: October 4, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Resolution to authorize the Chair's <br />Signature on Amendment No. 6 to Watershed Science and <br />Engineering Task Order No. 8 Whiskey and Mercer Creek <br />LOMR Support <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works currently has a Task Order with Watershed <br />Science and Engineering for Letter of Map Revision <br />(LOMR) support for Whiskey and Mercer Creeks. <br />Recently, the Department of Natural Resources released <br />2019 LiDAR covering the study area, and Public Works <br />recommends that Watershed Science and Engineering <br />update the Whiskey -Mercer analysis to reflect this updated <br />LiDAR. Additionally, the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency had directed Kittitas County to extend the model <br />downstream to the confluence of Mercer Creek with <br />Wilson Creek, which necessitates including the City of <br />Ellensburg in the model. Amendment No. 6 adds <br />approximately $15,000 to the Task Order supporting this <br />request by Public Works. The original task order was for <br />$40,000 and the new amount is $55,000. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to authorize the Chair's signature <br />on Amendment No. 6 to Watershed Science and <br />Engineering Task Order No. 8 Whiskey and Mercer Creek <br />LOMR Support <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Amendment No. 6 to Task Order No. 8 with <br />Watershed Science and Engineering Whiskey and Mercer <br />Creek LOMR Support <br />LEAD STAFF: Arden Thomas, Water Resource Manager <br />
