AGENDA DATE: October 4, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to Kittitas County Code 2.68
BACKGROUND: Staff is requesting to set a public hearing to consider amendments to Kittitas County Code
(KCC) 2.68. The amendments to KCC 2.68 would move the Fire Marshal’s Office into the
Sheriff’s Office. The amendments would also reflect that building inspections is within and
supervised by Community Development Services.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services, Sheriff’s Office, Prosecutor’s
Office
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners set the public hearing for Tuesday,
October 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Auditorium.
