R E S O L U T I O N
NO: 2022 ___________
Resolution Authorizing Chair Signature on an Amendment of the Kittitas County
Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners adopted a Community
Wildfire Protection Plan in October 2018; and
WHEREAS: The adopted plan was developed with community outreach and co-
adopted by various fire chiefs in the county; and
WHEREAS: The Fire Chiefs desire amending the adopted plan including
appendices identifying specific areas in the county for various fuel
reduction activities; and
WHEREAS: The Fire Chiefs believe adding appendices to the adopted plan
strengthens successful grant applications now and in the future.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners, after
due consideration, does hereby amend the 2018 Community Wildfire Protection Plan
adding appendices identifying specific locations for fuel reduction activities.
