RESOLUTION TO RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. 2006-12, A RESOLUTION THAT
ESTABLISHED A VETERANS ADVISORY BOARD FOR KITTITAS COUNTY
WHEREAS: The legislature has provided that each county is to establish a Veterans Advisory
Board as set forth in RCW 73.08.035, which Kittitas County established via
resolution 2006-12, which is attached hereto and hereby incorporated by this
reference; and
WHEREAS: Resolution 2006-12, declared that the membership on the Veterans Board shall
not exceed 11 members; and
WHEREAS: A large membership requirement has made it difficult to establish a quorum and
thus has led to delays in the Board’s work; and
WHEREAS: A reduced membership requirement would be in the best interest of the County;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Board of County Commissioners hereby
rescinds resolution number 2006-12 in anticipation of a new resolution with a
revised membership composition.
