TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. SEPTEMBER 6, 2022
Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Brett
Wachsmith. Excused: Vice-Chairman Cory Wright
Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz,
Administrative Supervisor; Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant;
and Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance
Director/Project Manager.
PUBLIC HEARING SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY SOLID WASTE
At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider
surplusing Parcel #961884 and to authorize Treasurer to hold an
auction.
PATTI STACEY, SOLID WASTE DIRECTOR/INTERIM MAINTENANCE
DIRECTOR/PROJECT MANAGER reviewed a Staff Report and indicated that
in 2018 the Solid Waste Department was going to locate a new site
for the Ellensburg Transfer Station. Jacobs Engineering along with
public input recommended the Hwy 97 Old Highway 10 site, which was
50 acres more than what was finally determined to be needed for the
new facility. A short plat was conducted to create 2 lots with
Parcel #961884 being 10.87 acres and is available for surplus. The
minimum price for the property was previously set at $1,074,000.00
and she recommended surplusing the property and directing the
Treasurer to hold an auction.
THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC
PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
RESOLUTION 2022-166 SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY SOLID WASTE
COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-166, to
Declare Parcel #961884 as Surplus to the County Needs. CHAIRMAN
OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
The meeting was concluded at 2:04 p.m.
