RESOLUTION No. 2022-_______
RESOLUTION TO DECLARE PARCEL 961884 AS SURPLUS TO COUNTY NEEDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have by Kittitas County Solid Waste
purchased property for the new transfer station location;
WHEREAS, the property was short plated to make two lots with one lot to be the future
location of the Ellensburg Transfer Station; and
WHEREAS, the second lot parcel 961884 a 10.87 acre lot in not needed for the
upcoming project; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners agrees with the recommendation of
the Solid Waste Director to declared this parcel as surplus to county needs;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners set a minimum price for the property
at $1,074,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes orders, and directs the Kittitas County
Treasurer to hold a public auction to sell Kittitas County Parcel #961884, as allowed by RCW
42.30.110(c). The Kittitas County Treasurer is authorized to take whatever actions are needed to
facilitate this sale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Treasurer is hereby authorized to advertise
Notice of Sale by Public Auction to be held on September 20, 2022, at 1:00pm in the Conference
room.
