<br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 6th, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution Forming a County Executive <br />Management Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The topic of reorganization of county government to delegate some <br />or all of the BoCC’s executive management duties to a new <br />executive administrator position has been discussed for many <br />years, both inside and out of county government. Last year, the <br />BoCC published a strategic plan with one included goal being a <br />transition to a new executive management format within three <br />years. This resolution would form an advisory committee to <br />explore this topic and provide a recommendation to the BoCC for <br />future action. Washington State Association of Counties has <br />agreed to facilitate this advisory committee should this resolution <br />and an accompanying Professional Services Agreement be <br />approved. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The resolution has been approved by the Prosecutor’s office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution and solicit applications for the advisory <br />committee <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 – Copy Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 – Washington State Association of Counties <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: 1 – Resolution <br /> 1 – Proposal Brief (March 16, 2022) <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
