AGENDA DATE: September 6th, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Resolution Forming a County Executive
Management Advisory Committee
BACKGROUND: The topic of reorganization of county government to delegate some
or all of the BoCC’s executive management duties to a new
executive administrator position has been discussed for many
years, both inside and out of county government. Last year, the
BoCC published a strategic plan with one included goal being a
transition to a new executive management format within three
years. This resolution would form an advisory committee to
explore this topic and provide a recommendation to the BoCC for
future action. Washington State Association of Counties has
agreed to facilitate this advisory committee should this resolution
and an accompanying Professional Services Agreement be
approved.
INTERACTION: The resolution has been approved by the Prosecutor’s office.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution and solicit applications for the advisory
committee
