COUNTY OF KITTITAS
STATE OF WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADOPTION OF CHANGE OF HOURS AT THE
KITTITAS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has the authority, pursuant to
RCW 36.16.100 and KCC 2.20.010, to modify and approve the changes via resolution, to the
hours of operation that County offices shall be open for the transaction of business; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Public Health Department has requested that its office hours
be changed from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, to 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through
Friday; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Public Health Department employees will continue to work
an 8 hour day with this business hour schedule with an hour of administrative work at the
beginning or end of each day; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Health approved the change of service hours on
October 1, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners approves of the change of service
hours for Kittitas County Public Health Department by action taken at a regular meeting;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes approval of the change of hours of
service for Kittitas County Public Health Department, such that the department will be open
to the public Monday through Friday from the hours of 8 AM to 4 PM effective October 1,
2022.
