08/30/2022 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 1:00 P.M. AUGUST 30, 2022 Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chair Cory Wright; and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Sarah Keith, Superior Court Administrator; Lisa Murray, Administrative Supervisor; Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Chelsey Loeffers, Public Health Director; Kari Elkins, Office Administrator; Jacob Schroeder, Administrative Supervisor; Jeanne Killgore, Human Resource Director; Barb Demory, Lower District Court Administrator; Ryan Gausman, Chief Deputy Coroner; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Jodi Hammond, Chief Criminal Deputy; Cory McKean, Office Administrator; Nick Henderson, Coroner; Karen Bowen, Clerk; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; and Erica Loynd & Lori Coppenrath from the DLR Group. SPECIAL MEETING DLR GROUP COMMISSIONERS At 1:06 p.m. Chairman Osiadacz called a Special Meeting to order meet with representatives from the DLR Group and the Management Team to review refining space needs of a proposed new Courthouse. There was discussion and review of each department’s space needs over the next 20 years, while giving consideration for employees who may be able to work from home to help lessen the space needs. Following a review of individual department’s needs, it was estimated that 11,000 square feet had been reduced than what was originally submitted, which was very encouraging. The Board asked all of the departments to go back and take another look at their space needs and see if there’s any other way of paring it down even more, and to let Patti know.
