Public Health Study Session <br />August 24, 2022 <br />10:00 AM <br />Commissioner’s Conference Room <br />Attendees <br />Laura, Brett, Cory, Chelsey, Candi <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Citizen Comment (1 minute time limit)- no members of the public present <br />Department Business <br />Changing Department Hours <br />Chelsey Loeffers discussed new proposed health department office hours (8-4). Only recommendation <br />was to do a trial run and make sure there were no major concerns from the public. <br />BOH Recording Recommendation <br />Chelsey Loeffers noted that she has spoken to Stephanie Hartung, Prosecuting Attorney, about <br />recording of BOH meetings. Ms. Hartung noted that it is recommended to record BOH meetings under <br />OPMA guidelines, but not required. The board gave Ms. Loeffers direction to check in with IT to see if <br />they have any mechanisms to see how much traffic BOH recordings get. Cory Wright also asked to see if <br />there was any data info for traffic during COVID to present. <br />BOH Feedback <br />Discussion by group about health department presenting appropriate and necessary information at <br />BOH. <br />Other Business <br />Discussion: BOCC Priorities for 1/10th proposals <br />Discussion was had about direction (priorities/proposals) for new committee. Commissioners agreed <br />that focusing on prevention and youth were top priorities. Starting discussions about isolation, eating <br />disorders, mental health stigma, in addition to, prevention Discussion about possible pilot projects and <br />possible work inside schools. <br />Concluded at 10:40am
