08/16/2022 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM/WEBEX <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. AUGUST 16, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright, and Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant; Mandy Buchholz, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Dan Carlson, Community Development <br />Services Director; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director; Patti Stacey, Maintenance/Solid Waste <br />Director/Project Manager; and 4 members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING DEPT. NATURAL RESOURCES LEASE AIRPORT <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing continued <br />from July 19, 2022, to consider the Department of Natural Resources <br />updated Lease. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH, stated that since the Department of Natural <br />Recourses has yet to provide an updated lease, that the public <br />hearing should be closed and reopened when an updated lease is in <br />the County’s possession. <br /> <br />THERE WAS NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to close the Public Hearing until the <br />Department of Natural Resources provides an updated lease. VICE- <br />CHAIRMAN WRIGHT seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING LUNCH BOX CAFÉ LEASE AGREEMENT CDS <br /> <br />At 2:01 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />commercial lease amendment with Margo Cordner (d/b/a Lunch Box Café) <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH, stated that this is a two-month extension of <br />a current agreement while the final edits to a new lease are being <br />made. <br /> <br />THERE WAS NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC <br />PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH, moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-159 for <br />a Commercial Lease Amendment with Margo Cordner (d/b/a Lunch Box <br />Café) located at 409 N. Ruby Street Ellensburg, WA. VICE-CHAIRMAN <br />WRIGHT seconded. Motioned carried 3-0.
