COMMISSIONERS’ MINUTES <br />HR STUDY SESSION <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 10:00 AM 8/09/2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Cory Wright <br />Others: Mark Cook, Patti Stacey, Christopher Horner, Jeanne Killgore, Leslie Erickson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:01 AM. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT (ONE MINUTE) <br />None. <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND LOCAL <br />792-CH (COURTHOUSE) TO ACKNOWLEDGE CREATION OF NEW POSITION – FISCAL/TECHNOLOGY <br />SPECIALIST <br />Interim HR Director Killgore presented the Board with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to <br />recognize the new Fiscal/Technology Specialist position within Local 792-CH (Courthouse). She explained <br />that Public Works utilizes specialized programs and systems. The creation of the Fiscal/Technology <br />Specialist recognizes the unique duties that must be performed to maintain these systems. Commissioner <br />Wright moved to approve an MOU between Kittitas County and Local 792-CH to acknowledge the <br />creation of a Fiscal/Technology Specialist. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded the motion. Motion was <br />approved; 2:0. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION – RCW 42.30.110 (G) TO EVALUATE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF AN APPLICANT FOR <br />PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT OR TO REVIEW THE PERFORMANCE OF A PUBLIC EMPLOYEE. HOWEVER, <br />SUBJECT TO RCW 42.30.140(4), DISCUSSION BY A GOVERNING BODY OF SALARIES, WAGES, AND <br />OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT TO BE GENERALLY APPLIED WITHIN THE AGENCY SHALL OCCUR <br />IN A MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND WHEN A GOVERNING BODY ELECTS TO TAKE FINAL A CTION <br />HIRING, SETTING THE SALARY OF AN INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE OR CLASS OF EMPLOYEES, OR <br />DISCHARGING OR DISCIPLINING AN EMPLOYEE, THAT ACTION SHALL BE TAKEN IN A MEETING OPEN <br />TO THE PUBLIC. <br />This topic was moved to agenda item #7. <br />The Board entered executive session at 10:27 AM to discuss the performance of a public employee for an <br />anticipated length of five minutes. Anticipated action: none. At 10:32 AM the Board extended executive <br />session for an additional seven minutes. The Board exited executive session at 10:39 AM with no action <br />taken. <br /> <br />
