KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 16, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize Issuing a Statement of Qualifications for <br />Engineering and Planning Services at Bowers Field 2023 - <br />2027 <br />BACKGROUND: The current on-call task order contract with Century West <br />Engineering supporting Bowers Field is terminating in mid- <br />October 2022. The Federal Aviation Administration allows <br />on-call task order contracts for a five-year period. With the <br />completion of the environmental assessment supporting the <br />capital construction program. The airport now enters a <br />construction period expected to last five years. A general <br />solicitation for service is expected to attract several service <br />providers. Staff desires having a consultant on -board by <br />early January 2023. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize issuing a statement of qualifications for <br />engineering and planning services for a five-year period <br />supporting Bowers Field. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
