JULY 19, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Cory Wright; and Commissioner <br />Brett Wachsmith. <br />Excused: Chairman Laura Osiadacz <br /> <br />Others: Emily Smith, Administrative Assistant; Greg Zempel, <br />Prosecuting Attorney; Elisha Harvill, Chief Administrator; Kristine <br />Foreman, HR Director; Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING PROSECUTORS REQUEST COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Wright called a Special Meeting to order <br />to meet with County staff regarding Phase 1-3 with SCJ Alliance per <br />their proposal dated 7/8/2022 for north parking lot, and Prosecutor <br />requests. <br /> <br />REQUEST BOARD APPROVAL FOR PHASE 1-3 WITH SCJ ALLIANCE PER PROPOSAL <br />DATED 7/8/2022 FOR NORTH PARKING LOT. <br /> <br />Director Patti Stacey requested the Board to approve Phase 1-3 with <br />SCL Alliance for the Counties north parking lot. Commissioner <br />Wachsmith moved to approve Phase 1-3 with SCJ Alliance per their <br />proposal dated 7/8/2022 for north parking lot. Vice-Chairman Wright <br />seconded. There was no discussion. The motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />CONSIDER PROPOSED DEPOSIT FOR KCPAO BLAKE REIMBURSEMENT FUNDS <br /> <br />Prosecutor Greg Zempel gave the Board a brief background on Blake <br />funds and the Prosecutors desire to put them into the Victim Witness <br />fund. The Board gave direction to allow the funds to be allocated to <br />that fund. the Prosecutor’s office will reach out to the Auditors <br />office and the Auditor will dedicate the funds to the appropriate <br />account. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO ADD A PARALEGAL POSITION TO THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE <br /> <br />Prosecutor Greg Zempel explained the need for a paralegal position <br />in their office; what the position would be doing and what pay scale <br />the position would follow. The Board reviewed the job description. <br />The Board was supportive of the position and gave direction to fill <br />the position. <br /> <br />Meeting concluded at 9:26 a.m.
