BOARD OF' COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2022. I5? <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON TEN (10) WATER RIGHT QUIT CLAIM <br />DEEDS AI\[D REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX (REET) AFFIDAVITS <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County entered into a Settlement Agreement with Futurewise, the Kittitas County <br />Conservation Coalition, RIDGE Association, and the Washington State Department of <br />Ecology (Ecology) on May 15,2014; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County and the Washington State Department of Ecology entered into a Master <br />Trust Water Right Agreement which governs the management of the separate water rights <br />acquired by Kittitas County, transferred to instream flow, and held by Ecology in trust in <br />the Trust Water Rights Program (TWRP); and <br />WHEREAS: Kiffitas County, as specified in the Master Trust Water Right Agreement with Ecology, <br />now desires to deliver quit claim deeds and Real Estate Excise Tax (REET) affidavits for <br />ten (10) water rights to Ecology; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County has met its commitment in the Settlement Agreement to acquire sufficient <br />senior water rights for mitigation for historic use, in advance of the May 15,2024, <br />deadline; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, in the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature <br />on the ten (10) water right quit claim deeds and Real Estate Excise Tax affidavits. <br />DATED this 2nd day of August2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF CO{.]NTY COMMISSIONERS <br />WASHINGTON <br />Julie Kjorsvik <br />right, <br />tr Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />achsmith, Commissioner <br />,,,, I I llr
