BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2022-_______ RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF THE KITTITAS COUNTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY’S OFFICE WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners has the authority, pursuant to RCW 36.16.100, to approve changes by resolution in the days and hours that County offices shall be kept open for the transaction of business; and WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (KCPAO) has requested that the department be closed to the public on the third Thursday of every month from 3:30pm – 5:00pm; and WHEREAS, said closure is needed for the purpose of conducting training for the staff of the KCPAO; and WHEREAS, it is sometimes necessary to cancel the all-staff training, in which case the KCPAO will remain open to the public. Prior approval to cancel the all-staff training is not required or expected; and WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners authorizes said closure of the KCPAO by action taken at a regular meeting; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington, hereby authorizes the approval of the request to change the hours of service for the KCPAO such that the department will close to the public on the third Thursday of every month from 3:30pm – 5:00pm. .
