AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: July 19, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement Between Kittitas County and
Washington State Healthcare Authority.
BACKGROUND: On March 15, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners for
Kittitas County authorized execution of an agreement with the Washington State
Healthcare Authority to provide medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) in jails to
incarcerated individuals who present with an opioid use disorder (OUD). The Healthcare
Authority now wishes to amend that agreement to award additional funds for this project
and modify the timeline for the project.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved this amendment to the original agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
an Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement Between Kittitas County and
Washington State Healthcare Authority.
HANDLING: Please return 1 signed original to KCSO. Sheriff’s Office to provide a
fully executed Agreement back to the BOCC upon signature by HCA.
