KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 19, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for August 2, 2022, to <br />Consider Amending Kittitas County Code Chapter 3.09 <br />(0.10) Real Estate Excise Tax <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners may increase Real <br />Estate Excise Tax by amending Kittitas County Code 3.09 <br />(0.10). Amending County Code requires a public hearing <br />prior to amendment consideration. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office <br />RECOMMENDATION: Schedule a Public Hearing for 2:00 PM local time on <br />August 2, 2022, considering amending Kittitas County <br />Code 3.09 (0.10) Real Estate Excise Tax. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing; Draft Ordinance <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
