MAY 24, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz (Webex); Vice- <br />Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; <br />Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor (Webex); Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Jeremy Johnston, Planning <br />Official; Jeremiah Cromie, Staff Planner (Webex); Stephanie Hartung, <br />Deputy Prosecutor (Webex); and 1 member of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING NON-DOCKET CYCLE AMENDMENTS CDS <br /> <br />At 6:00 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to <br />consider Non-Docket Cycle Amendments for Kittitas County Code <br />Section 12, 15A, 16, and 17. <br /> <br />DOCKET ITEM 1: <br /> <br />JEREMY JOHNSTON, PLANNING OFFICIAL, reviewed Docket Item 1. He said <br />the amendment was submitted by the Kittitas County Public Works <br />Department and Community Development Services to Title 16 <br />Subdivision Code section. The amendments included changes to bring <br />the Title into conformity with State standards, clarify ambiguous <br />sections, add a lot line encroachment option for building placement <br />and provide and option for parcel combination for the purposes of <br />building placement. The lot line encroachment section includes some <br />additions to the side and rear lot line setback sections of several <br />zoning designations in Title 17 to cite the lot line encroachment <br />option. He went through Staff analysis and noted the Planning <br />Commission unanimously recommended approval of the request, as <br />proposed. The Board asked Staff questions and for clarification on <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: PAT DENEEN felt the County needed to do <br />something with the new Critical Areas Ordinance and lot lines; <br />boundary line adjustments; and the ability to create smaller lots <br />within the 5-acre zones. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve Docket Item 1, as presented. <br />CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
