2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: June 21, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the use of
2022 Public Facility (PF) Award Funds to the City of
Roslyn for use with 2017 (PF) Funding Constructing
Stormwater Improvements
BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners awarded the City of
Roslyn $798,220 in Distressed County Sales and Use Tax
(Public Facilities Fund 108) in 2017. An additional award
was made to the City with Resolution 2022-046 allocating
$262,500 towards Phase II stormwater improvements. The
city recently opened construction bids for the original
project and bid costs exceed the engineer's estimate by
approximately 40%. The City is requesting to combine the
2017 and 2022 funding allowing award of the Phase 1
construction project. Combing funds allows the original
project to move to construction. Public Works supports the
request.
INTERACTION: Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City of Roslyn to combine 2017 and 2022
Fund 108 funding and award the Phase 1 stormwater
improvement construction project.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works.
ATTACHMENTS: Resolution.
