KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />AGENDA SESSION STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA SESSION DATE: June 21, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution selecting KPG Psomas <br />supporting Civil and Structural Design for the replacement of <br />Bridge No. 07101 Liberty Road over Swauk Creek and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to negotiate and execute a <br />Local Agency A & E Professional Services Agreement for said <br />contract, CRP 306-201. <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />BACKGROUND: On May 3, 2022, the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners authorized advertisement of a request for <br />Statement of Qualifications supporting Civil and Structural <br />Design for the replacement of Bridge #07101 Liberty Road over <br />Swauk Creek. <br /> <br />Three (3) submittals were received by the closing date of May <br />26, 2022. The submittals were scored by Public Works, and the <br />selected submittal is from KPG Psomas. After formal selection <br />the Public Works Director will be authorized to negotiate and <br />execute a Local Agency A & E Professional Services Agreement <br />with KPG Psomas. <br /> <br />The design and engineering phase of this project will be <br />completed with funding secured through the FFY 2022 WA <br />Federal lands Access Program (FLAP). <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution selecting KPG Psomas supporting Civil <br />and Structural Design of the replacement of Bridge #07101 <br />Liberty Road over Swauk Creek and authorize the Public Works <br />Director to negotiate and execute a Local Agency A & E <br />Professional Services Agreement for the same, CRP 306-21. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Public Works Director
