ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO
CONSIDER APPROVING THE BOWERS FIELD
OPERATIONAL DOCUMENTS

BACKGROUND: The Airport was tasked with developing new operational
documents in early 2021. Changes in the Minimum
Standards being the catalyst for these new documents. In
2021 it was determined the following documents needed to
be developed or revised, Minimum Standards, Rules and
Regulations, Design Standards and Lease Policy. With
significant discussion among the Airport Advisory
Committee, Staff, BoCC and the community we have
revised the documents in the form being presented.
DISCUSSION: Being presented are the final changes to the Minimum
Standards, Rules and Regulations, Design Standards, and
Title 19 or as defined the Guiding Principals for the
Guiding Documents.
The decision to separate each document into different parts
referenced in Title 19 helped to create a better flow and
understanding of what areas were managed by each
document. These documents have been presented to the
AAC, put out for public comment, and have been revised
accordingly.
INTERACTION: AAC, BoCC, Staff and Public
STAFF
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the request to set a public hearing on June 21,
2022 at 2 pm.
