KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />June 7, 2022 <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: JUNE 7, 2022 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO <br />CONSIDER APPROVING THE BOWERS FIELD <br />OPERATIONAL DOCUMENTS <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Ken Grannan, Airport Director <br /> Codi Fortier, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Airport was tasked with developing new operational <br />documents in early 2021. Changes in the Minimum <br />Standards being the catalyst for these new documents. In <br />2021 it was determined the following documents needed to <br />be developed or revised, Minimum Standards, Rules and <br />Regulations, Design Standards and Lease Policy. With <br />significant discussion among the Airport Advisory <br />Committee, Staff, BoCC and the community we have <br />revised the documents in the form being presented. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: Being presented are the final changes to the Minimum <br />Standards, Rules and Regulations, Design Standards, and <br />Title 19 or as defined the Guiding Principals for the <br />Guiding Documents. <br /> The decision to separate each document into different parts <br />referenced in Title 19 helped to create a better flow and <br />understanding of what areas were managed by each <br />document. These documents have been presented to the <br />AAC, put out for public comment, and have been revised <br />accordingly. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: AAC, BoCC, Staff and Public <br />STAFF <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the request to set a public hearing on June 21, <br />2022 at 2 pm. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original to Clerk <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Public Notice
