AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: June 7, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Contract Amendment Consolidated Contract with
Department of Children, Youth, and Families
BACKGROUND: As mandated by the Washington State Legislature, the purpose of the
Consolidated Contract is to provide funding to County Juvenile
Courts throughout Washington State to support Block Grant programs
for juvenile offenders. The programs include, but are not limited to:
• Consolidate Juvenile Services At -Risk (CJS)
• Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA)
• Chemical Dependency and Mental Health Disposition
Alternative (CDMHDA)
• Suspended Disposition Alternative (SDA)
• Community Juvenile Accountability Act (CJAA)/Evidenced
Based Programs (EBP), and
• Promising Programs
The purpose of this contract amendment is to increase Contract
consideration by $1,532.00 to allow for purchasing and providing
concrete goods to families for the purpose of supporting low-income
families.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has reviewed and approved as to form the
contract (Prosecutor Review Number 54229).
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Contract Amendment Consolidated Contract with the
Department of Children, Youth, and Families for SFY 2023
HANDLING: Request 2 signed original documents be returned to Juvenile Court
Services to pursue DCYF signature and subsequent return of an
original fully executed document to the BoCC for County records (I
have created 3 originals — if you would please return 2 and keep 1).
