MAY 17, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Cory <br />Wright and Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Kelly Bacon, Staff Planner; Josh Fredrickson, Engineer; <br />Jeremy Johnston, Planning Official; Emily Smith, Administrative <br />Assistant; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Kady Porterfield, Event <br />Center Director; Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor; Rachael <br />Stevie, Staff Planner; Jeremiah Cromie, Staff Planner; Fernando <br />Contreras, Corrections Sargent; Mandy Buchholz, Administrative <br />Supervisor; and 2 members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING RENTAL RATES & FEE SCHEDULE EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider a <br />Resolution adopting amendments to the Rental Rates and Fee Schedules <br />at the Kittitas Valley Event Center. <br /> <br />KADY PORTERFIELD, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR, provided a Staff Report and <br />reviewed the 2022 proposed rental rates and fee schedule for the <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center. She recommended approval of the <br />proposed changes based on inflation and the cost of doing business <br />for new contracts effective June 1, 2022. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-113 RENTAL RATES & FEE SCHEDULE EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-113, <br />Adopting Amendments to Rental Rates and Fee Schedules for the <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center, effective June 1, 2022. COMMISSIONER <br />WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING HOLIDAY AVENUE – VANTAGE PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:06 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />the proposed Vacation of a Portion of Holiday Avenue in Vantage, WA. <br /> <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER, reviewed a Staff Report. He explained <br />that Holiday Avenue in Vantage has provided access to dock <br />facilities since the mid-1970’s. Recent actions by the Grant PUD <br />removed the license from the property owner, terminating ongoing use <br />of the private dock. The dock is being removed and Grant County PUD <br />is proposing to intensify land use in the vicinity of Holiday Avenue <br />with a swimming area. Upon completion of his Staff Report he <br />requested a continuance of the Public Hearing until a later date.
