Subject: Award letter for Court Security Equipment Grant [grant number CSE22007]
We are pleased to inform you that the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) has reviewed your recent
grant application, and is awarding you a grant in the amount of $35,007.
The amount awarded may differ from the amount you requested due to available funding. If you have any
questions about how your award was recalculated, please reach out to Kyle Landry at
kyle.landry@courts.wa.gov.
It is the intention that the grant be used to assist Kittitas County Superior Court in complying with GR36
minimum requirements through the purchase of security equipment. This Award letter explains the
responsibilities and expectations of grant recipients.
A Grant Agreement formalizing the terms of your award and a blank A-19 form are attached. Grant recipients
must sign the Grant Agreement and return it to kyle.landry@courts.wa.gov as soon as possible. Once the
Grant Agreement, accompanying A-19 form and receipt for items purchased are signed and returned to AOC,
the award monies will be disbursed as a reimbursement. When submitting your A19 and supporting
documentation for reimbursement, please clearly reference CSE22007.
Award Disbursement
The funds provided by Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) will be spent for the identified equipment
awarded as outlined in the grant application. You must provide AOC with receipts for products and services
purchased. You have been approved for an amount totaling $35,007 and this amount may be used to
purchase any combination of items within the approved categories. Approved equipment in the “Security Items”
category will be listed.

Your award will be provided as a reimbursement for the approved items below and your equipment has been
purchased. Security Items will only be reimbursed if purchased after March 10, 2022 and the Grant Agreement
has been received, signed and returned.
Reporting Requirements
Award Recipients will be required to provide receipts for equipment and installation costs to AOC.
Please retain and assure accessibility for all supporting documentation regarding expenditures and
requests for state and/or federal audit purposes.
Completed A19 form and receipts should be submitted to kyle.landry@courts.wa.gov.

I agree that all monies awarded will be used for the purchase of security equipment for the Courthouse(s) located
at 205 W 5th Ave Ste 207, Ellensburg, WA 98926.
I acknowledge that this is a reimbursement and I will have to purchase the equipment up front before being
reimbursed by the Administrative Office of the Courts. Only items purchased after March 10, 2022 will be
reimbursed.
The funds provided by Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) will be spent for the identified equipment
awarded as outlined in the grant application. I agree to provide AOC with receipts for products and services
purchased. I understand that I have been approved for an amount totaling $35,007, and this amount may be
used to purchase any combination of items within the approved categories.
I agree to retain and assure accessibility for all supporting documentation regarding expenditures and requests
for state and/or federal audit purposes.
I agree that labor and installation costs completed by county/state employees will not be paid out of this grant
money.
I agree that security items will be purchased and received by December 31, 2022, and reimbursement
requests will be submitted to Administrative Office of the Courts by January 31, 2023.
I acknowledge that I have read this agreement and understand the process laid out within it.
