Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br />Fax (509) 962-7682 <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approval of Professional Services Agreement with LDC, Inc. for Kittitas County <br />Code Updates to Implement Ellensburg UGA Interlocal Agreement <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On January 18, 2022, the Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 2022- <br />013, an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with the city of Ellensburg regarding annexation <br />and development within the city’s Urban Growth Area (UGA). The ILA requires <br />that the county adopt certain code amendments to implement the ILA no later than <br />December 31, 2022. <br /> <br /> Due to the loss of our Long Range Planner in January and the current workload of <br />staff planners, CDS will need assistance in completing the code updates required by <br />the ILA. The attached Professional Services Agreement would allow LDC, Inc. to <br />provide long range planning services to complete these updates. <br /> <br /> The total amount for the project is $33,900. This was not in the 2022 CDS budget. <br />Savings from the Long Range Planner vacancy can be applied to this total, but a <br />budget transfer or amendment would be required. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services, Prosecutor’s Office <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Sign the Professional Services Agreement with LDC, Inc. <br /> <br />HANDLING: None <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: LDC, Inc.
