<br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3rd, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve an Ordinance Amending KCC 3.20.060 Related <br />to Lodging Tax <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Code was updated with the implementation of the <br />Lodging Tax, it mirrored the allowed uses in RCW 67.28.1815 - Uses <br />for Tourism Promotion and Tourism Facility. Currently the County <br />Code is more restrictive than the RCW, and this code change would <br />enable the County to use the funds collected to the full degree of the <br />RCW. Public Hearing for the change was conducted on April 5th, <br />2022 at 2 pm and the Board directed Staff to prepare enabling <br />documents. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and accepted the proposed code <br />change and has drafted the Ordinance. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve an Ordinance Amending KCC 3.20.060 Related to Lodging <br />Tax <br /> <br />HANDLING: Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> Electronic Copy- Auditor’s Office <br /> Code Change to IT <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Proposed changes <br /> Ordinance <br /> Prosecutor SR <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Taylor Crouch, LTAC Clerk, BOCC Administrative Assistant <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
