AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Resolution to authorize the Chair's
Signature on Amendment No. 1 to Jacobs Engineering
Group Task Order No. 1 General On -Call Environmental
and Planning Assistance
BACKGROUND: Public Works (PW) is nearing full expenditure of Task
Order No. I with Jacobs Environmental. The task order
supports staff environmental permitting efforts in the
absence of specific permit expertise. PW is preparing to
move ahead securing environmental permitting for two
private bridges associated with our Lick Creek Fish Barrier
Removal Project. The original task order was for $50,000
and the new amount is $90,000.
INTERACTION: Public Works.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to authorize the Chair's signature
on Amendment No. 1 to Jacobs Engineering Group Task
Order No. 1 — General On -Call Environmental and
Planning Assistance.
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022 -
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO JACOBS
ENGINEERING GROUP TASK ORDER NO. 1— GENERAL ON-CALL
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PLANNING ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS: Public Works has a Task Order contract with Jacobs Engineering Group for
General On -Call Environmental and Planning Assistance; and
WHEREAS: The original Task Order No. 1 had a set amount of $50,000; and
WHEREAS: This amendment authorizes an additional $40,000 supporting Public Works in the
absence of an environmental planner at this time and the additional funding
requires Board of County Commission authorization; and
WHEREAS: Public Works has a project requiring environmental permit support for a
necessary construction project associated with the Lick Creek Fish Barrier
Removal project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chairman's signature on Jacobs Engineering
Group Amendment No. 1 to Task Order No. 1 increasing the amount of the Task Order from
$50,000 to $90,000.
