KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of <br />Intergovernmental Agreement between the U.S. Marshals Service and the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) have <br />had a standing agreement regarding the housing of USMS detainees at Kittitas County <br />Jail. This modification is updating various sections of the standing agreement and <br />updating language to others. This serves as notice of the addition of Replacing “Purpose <br />of Agreement and Security Provided” section with Addendum #1, adding new language <br />to “Medical Services” section pertaining to Covid-19 and other infectious diseases, <br />adding “Pregnant or Post-Partum Prisoners” language to all Guard Services’ sections, <br />adding new “Video Teleconferencing” section, adding new “Voter Registration” section, <br />adding new “Body Camera Information Requests”, and adding new language to <br />“Restrictive Housing and Suicide Prevention”. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of <br />Intergovernmental Agreement between the U.S. Marshals Service and the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff’s Office. <br /> <br />HANDLING: No handling required. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Superintendent Panattoni
