ACTION REQUESTED:
Request adoption of a Resolution amending Voting Precincts within Kittitas County.
BACKGROUND:
As a result of the 2020 Census, it is required to redraw County Commissioner District Boundaries. When
County District Boundaries are redrawn, Voting Precinct Boundaries must be redrawn to follow County
Commissioner District Boundaries. It, therefore, behooves the County to identify Voting Precincts that may
not be in compliance with State Law and plan for changes in growth and potential city annexations.
Previously, Voting Precincts were adopted in County Code. The Voting Precincts have been removed from
County Code to allow for the flexibility and review periodically to provide for and ensure better
management of the voting process.

RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution amending Voting Precincts within Kittitas County.
