COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY 9:00 A.M. APRIL 4, 2022
Board members present: Vice-Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner
Brett Wachsmith. Absent: Chairman Laura Osiadacz.
Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Taylor Crouch,
Admin Asst.; Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Greg Zempel,
Prosecutor; Elisha Harvill, Chief Administrator; Kristine Foreman,
HR Director; Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor.
REGULAR MEETING OFFICE STAFF MEETING COMMISSIONERS
At 9:00 a.m. Vice-Chairman Wright opened the Office Administration
meeting.
CALENDAR WEEK AT A GLANCE COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed their weekly calendar.
PAF/VOUCHERS REVIEW OF PAF’S & VOUCHERS COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners approved and signed County
Employee Personnel Action forms and vouchers.
CORRESPONDENCE LOG REVIEW OF CORRESPONDENCE LOG COMMISSIONERS
The Board of County Commissioners reviewed the weekly Correspondence
Log, a listing of all incoming mail and correspondence for the week
ending April 1, 2022.
DISCUSSION RISK MANAGEMENT UPDATE COMMISSIONERS
Greg Zempel, Prosecutor presented documents for review and recapped
the meeting he had with HR, Commissioner Wright, and his Office last
week. He and Ms. Foreman stated they both felt good about the
direction things were headed. The Board suggested they brief the
County Management Team about the changes and then bring it forward
at the next HR Study Session for the Board to consider.
LETTER JILL SCHEFFER-KVEC COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Board signature a letter of
support to Jill Scheffer for the KEEN Interpretive Center as
presented. Vice Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.

LETTER BIO MASS – CENTERFUSE COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Board signature on a letter
of support to Senator Murray for the Centerfuse Biomass Feasibility
Study as presented. Vice Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-
0.
LETTER CWU – MEDICAL GRADE AIR COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Board signature on a letter
of support to Senator Murray for the CWU’s one time funding for an
install of Medical Grade Air Distribution as presented. Vice
Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0.
DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS
The Board determined that for the week of April 4, 2022 the Board
would post on their Facebook page the two proclamations they have on
the 4/5/2022 Agenda Session.
UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS
Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to
meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2022
were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin
meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at
future meetings.
Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective
departments and exchanged details of those meetings.
OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES
There were general updates on meetings & conversations that the
Board participated in, individually over the past week.
