BEFORE THE BOARD OF KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMISSI <br />Resolution Ji-- 0Bl <br />A Resolution Authorizing Placing the Increase of Real Estate Excise Tax on the November Ballot. <br />WHEREAS, RCW 82.46.035 provides for an additional real estate excise tax of one quarter of one percent <br />that a Board of County Commissioner may impose; and <br />WHEREAS, after due notice, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners met at2:00 p.m. on <br />September 21,2021to consider the matter; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners voted to place the question of raising the real <br />estate excise tax from the current rate ofhalfofone percent to three quarters ofone percent to a vote ofthe <br />people on the 2022 general election ballot. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners hereby directs that the <br />question ofwhether or not to increase the real estate excise tax by one quarter ofone percent tax be placed <br />before the county voters in the next general election, and hereby approves the following ballot title: <br />PROPOSITION NO. 1 <br />KITTITAS COI.INTY REAL ESTATE EXCISE TAX INCREASE <br />Should the Board of County Commissioners raise the excise tax on the sale of real property in unincorporated <br />Kittitas County by one quarter of one percent from the current one quarter of one percent to half of one percent <br />for the purpose of capital project financing as defined by RCW 82.46.035? <br />Should this proposition be: Approved I Rejected I <br />Passed by the <br />the 5h day <br />Board of Kittitas County Commissioners meeting in regular session at Ellensburg, Washington <br />or frDrl I .2022. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />-\\\\\\\\M <br />'S'.'{ CU <br />.+'.+t ..""' <br />--.'^\) ..'S.Y." <br />illlll <br />;^i SEAL i <br />=7T. .,',,o?Stlw$ <br />lerk of oard
