AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: April 5, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the 2022
Annual Paint Stripe Program Contract.
BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for
the 2022 Annual Paint Stripe Program in
accordance with RCW 39.04.155, Small Works
Roster Contract Procedures. Sealed Bids were
opened on March 23, 2022.
INTERACTION:
Two (2) qualified bids were received for the
prescribed work. The lowest responsive bid was
from Stripe Rite, Inc., in the amount of
$288,888.24. The Engineer's Estimate for the work
was $281,230.07.
Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award the 2022 Annual
Paint Stripe Program Contract and authorize the
County Engineer to sign said contract documents.

RESOLUTION NO. 2022 -
TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR
THE 2022 ANNUAL PAINT STRIPE PROGRAM
AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE SAME
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for the 2022 Annual Paint
Stripe Program in accordance with RCW 39.04.155 Small Works Roster
Contract Procedures; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on March 23, 2022, at the Kittitas County Permit
Center, Department of Public Works, 411 N. Ruby Street, Suite 1,
Ellensburg, Washington; and
WHEREAS: Two (2) responsive bids were received for the prescribed work. The
County Engineer recommends the lowest responsive bid from Stripe Rite
Inc., of $288,888.24 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in
the best interest of the public, does hereby award the contract for the 2022
Annual Paint Stripe Program in the amount of $288,888.24.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is authorized to sign the
contract documents for said project.
