KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: April 5, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Contract for <br />the Kachess Lake Road Culvert Replacement Project, CRP <br />284-18, and authorize the County Engineer to execute the <br />same. <br />BACKGROUND: On March 20, 2018, the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners (BOCC) approved Resolution 2018-054 <br />initiating County Road Project (CRP 284-18) for the <br />Kachess Lake Road Culvert Replacement Project. <br />On March 1, 2022, the BOCC approved a Notice of Call <br />for sealed bids for the construction of said project. Sealed <br />bids were opened publicly on March 17, 2022, at Kittitas <br />County Public Works. <br />The project is being funded through REET 1 and local road <br />maintenance funding from Kittitas County Public Works. <br />The engineers estimate for the project was $1,109,400.00. <br />There were six (6) qualified bids received, with the lowest <br />bid being Pro Grade Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of <br />$1,038,915.00. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to Award the Contract for the <br />Kachess Lake Road Culvert Replacement Project, CRP <br />284-18 and authorize the County Engineer to execute the <br />same. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer. <br />
