AGENDA DATE: March 15, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing 2:00 pm on April 5, 2022
to consider adopting County Commissioner District
Boundaries and to remove Voting Precincts from County
Code.
BACKGROUND: The County Commissioners established an advisory
committee to work through the process of redrawing
Commissioner District lines based on the population
numbers from the 2020 census. The County Auditor’s
Office and the County IT Department assisted in the
process. In February, the County Commissioners accepted
the map as drawn by the Advisory Committee and
requested enabling documents be created. This public
hearing establishes the description of the Commissioner
Districts for County Code and askes that Voting Precincts
be removed from County Code for administrative
flexibility.

RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing 2:00 pm on April 5, 2022 to consider
adopting County Commissioner District Boundaries and to
remove Voting Precincts from County Code.
