KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: March 15, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Schedule a Public Hearing on April 5, 2022, at <br />2:00 pm to Consider Adding a New Section to Kittitas <br />County Code 10.07.065 as requested by the Kittitas County <br />Sheriffs Department. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff's Department is requesting a <br />new section of Kittitas County Code in the no parking <br />chapter making it easier for deputies to cite when writing <br />tickets. The new code language has been reviewed and <br />approved by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Kittitas <br />County Sheriffs Department <br />RECOMMENDATION: Schedule a public hearing on April 5, 2022, at 2:00 pm to <br />consider and receive testimony on a new proposed section <br />in Chapter 10 of Kittitas County Code and advertise as <br />requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing; New Kittitas County Code <br />Section 10.07.065. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
