ACTION REQUESTED:
The Board of County Commissioners authorizes a Resolution authorizing the execution of a
contract amendment between the Kittitas County Public Health Department and the 509
Facility Services. (Effective dates: 12/14/2020 – 10/01/2022)
BACKGROUND:
Kittitas County Public Health facilitates the isolation and quarantine of families, and individuals
who are without means to provide a safe shelter in the event of a positive COVID19 test or
exposure to a positive individual for the duration of a quarant ine period. Once the premises
that are contracted are vacated by the exposed/positive individual cleaning services provided
by 509 cleaning are utilized to sanitize the housing unit to prepare for the next tenant.
• Amendment 2 increases the cleaning hourly wage to $30.00, as well as the
corresponding overtime rates.
