AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: March 15th, 2022
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to set a Public Hearing for April 5th, 2022 at 2:00 pm to consider revisions to Kittitas County Code Chapter 3.20.060
Proceeds to be credited to a special fund- Limitations on use- Investment for the Kittitas County Lodging Tax.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Code was updated with the implementation of the Lodging Tax, it mirrored the allowed uses in RCW 67.28.1815 - Uses for Tourism Promotion and Tourism Facility.
Currently the County Code is more restrictive than the RCW, and this code change would enable the County to use the funds collected to the full degree of the RCW.
INTERACTION: The Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and accepted the proposed code change.
RECOMMENDATION: Request the BOCC to set a Public Hearing for April 5th, 2022 at 2:00 pm to consider revisions to Kittitas County Code Chapter 3.20.060 Proceeds to be credited to a special
